On or Off the grid: Lost is No Longer a Problem
While in San Francisco with some college buddies, we all encountered a problem of being lost, and not finding our way back to the group. Dropping a pin on an Iphone doesn’t provide directions and isn’t updated in real time, while google maps requires an address. Especially, in a place like Stanford’s there was not an address available for a certain place in the quad. We were faced with a problem and we developed a solution and created the idea of Loop.
Loop allows you to connect with your friends by easily sending yourself and a friend directions to a desired meeting point. You can set the meeting point to a central midway point, to your location, or to a nearby point of interest such as coffee shops or restaurants. Loop connects all members in the group in real time. Meeting up has never been easier. Loop allows directions to be sent and received without ever entering a single address. Unlike Apple’s dropping a pin, the map will constantly update showing semi-live movements of your friend providing an accurate ETA of both arrivals.
